Long-Term Impact
The effect of the Beatles in the long-term sense can be quite a feat to describe. Today, the band still has many die-hard fans, as well as being part of the reason that the Cold War ended (what with their message of peace). Paul McCartney is still performing today, as recently as the 2012 Olympics, as well as forming another band called "Wings", whose discography is notably superior to that of "Plastic Ono". Ringo has a tendency to lay low, with the exception of news stories that run on his birthday. The Beatles have had many an impact on the modern world as well, with many feature films based on them, such as "Yellow Submarine" and "A Hard Day's Night".
